So far I have tested 3-4 niches on all the three big guys yahoo, msn and google and I’m yet to make my first affiliate sale. I’m not goin to give up for sure

One more thing when you first started out tihngs were really easy back then, I have gone through Google Cash you mentioned.. Direct Linking is no longer allowed and he rules have changed alot since then and now lets face it, its even harder to make money online through PPC.

I hope you will teacing us the latest strategies applicable nowadays in 2008!

This was my first time seeing any of this. I have been looking for work on line for some time now. These silly programs that are on the web saying you can make money fast and then charge you an arm and leg are nothing short of a joke. Hope to see your idea is not the same. I am well aware you have to work and put effort into something if you want it to work. PLEASE, help me so I can do just that and make this work!

I talked with Amit in Las Vegas last year at PPC Classroom Live and I just want to say that his knowledge of PPC is amazing. He knows all the tricks and secrets. He’s a down to earth guy too. He was willing to take the time and answer all of my questions.

It scares me that everyone still relies so heavily on PPC. It is such a dangerous thing to rely on. You are better off creating valuable content sites that will attract more and more targeted traffic over time. So many people keep getting slapped by the search engines as they keep changing their rules - no one knows what is around the corner so if you rely on PPC as your only source of income, you are playing a very dangerous game. Slowly and slowly PPC is becoming less profitable.

There was one thing said on this video that I have never heard before so I went off to do it and hopefully I’ll have some conversions to comment here about soon. Why didn’t I think about that before? If there are more hints just like that one, I’m in for the duration. (please god let there be more comments like that my head is so sore from the wall I’m beating it up against )

Oops I forgot to add to my last post, all you need do is look at how much PPC has changed over the last 5 years. We all know that PPC works much the same way as an auction - the more people bidding on a keyword or keyphrase, the more you will be forced to pay to secure that top spot.

It is just common sense that as time goes on, more and more people are going to be drawn towards PPC and competition and bids will increase as a result. It will get to the point where it becomes almost impossible to make profit on most low-mid range items being promoted as an affiliate.

What a great introductory video!

Lots of great tips in there already so can’t wait for the next videos in the series.

As far as PPC marketing goes, one of the main things I’ve found is tight keyword groups for each ad channel coupled efficient and effective tracking.

If you’re not tracking your campaigns properly, how do you know what’s working and what’s not? Answer - you don’t!

I hope you’ll find time in future videos to cover how Amit tackles this.

Great video. I have been doing this a couple of years and have been making a few hundred per day for the last year or so. I find that I get one profitable campaign for every 10-15 that make nothing. I see my numbers are running like Amit’s when he started. I am anxious to see how he makes the determination quickly if a campaign will be profitable. That seems to be one of the secrets. I just want to say I am really excited about PPCC 2.0 I love Amits blog and how he teaches people to build a real business. It can get hard to be constantly jumping from one way to make money to the next without building something that will stand a test of time. Change is good, and it happens, but building a business that can change with the times and continue to be successful is my real hope with all I am learning. You know, that video hit me where I live . I too put a lot of time, effort and money down the experimental affiliate/web business PPC drain. Amit has given me new inspiration to not only try again but with tools to shorten my learning curve, forge ahead, and not quit when every instinct and so-called friend say ‘give-up…you need to get a better wage-slave job…the online oppotunities are too saturated to make any money these days’. It was late when I clicked on the video and I thought I would only watch a few minutes of it, but there were tidbits of valuable information that kept coming - so I kept watching.

At first I thought it would be a video that would keep leaving you hanging without actually providing any of the good stuff - holding you off until the ‘next’ video or the product for sale, but I was wrong.

Very good. Thanks. I watched the whole thing and downloaded it. Waiting for the next video with anticipation that it will have even more good stuff now that the intros are out of the way.

I’m relieved to finally find a trusted source of affliate marketing information from people that have actually done it.

There’s so much “half way” info out there — that only tells half the story but leaves the rest out…a good example is conversion tracking, which very few if anyone actually describes the process step by step.

I’m looking forward to more great info from you guys. Appreciate the honest and straightforward approach.

I was very excited by this video primarily because of the sincerity you both convey. I’m convinced that he does intent to reveal the facts of what he’s doing-not just the hype. And that you are putting your integrity on the line also–that you’re not just hyping a new gimmick but really intend to give us a concrete road to follow. So, yes, I’m excited to see the next video. I hope it’s soon, because, like so many others I’m struggling to get started, and I could really use some good ideas right now. So far, my story is Amit’s story…just the part about being on a budget for PPC’s, low traffic to my website, and 6 months of getting nowhere. Interesting if it could have the same ending as Amit’s!

I love Amit’s sharing/ abundance attitude. I appreciated the hint about using MSN and Yahoo for better conversion.

What can i say other than you have my full attention. For the newbies or for the already seasoned aff marketer Amit is going to dish some really great info for sure. I am very excited almost exclusively to see how Amit does his keyword research and refinement. He is a master in this field.

The video quality was very good and glad that you chose to do a real multi angle shoot.

Also, at first you get the since why would Amit reveal so much but as so many have stated above i really believe Amit will truly revel never before seen techniques and be very candid in answering questions. This is the most important factor to PPC Classroom 2.0 IMO.

Anik thank you for the opportunity to be exposed to this industry. Amit, thank you for sharing your personal experiences with us; I am recently laid off and my dream is to be self sufficient and work for myself to support my family.

I am a total newbie and have been researching affiliate marketing for about a year now and have not found any substantial information that would help a newbie like me get started. I have limited funds and hope that there are options for me to execute the processes. This video was inspirational and informational, I look forward to the next video.

I pray that “THIS” will be the light at the end of a very long, dark and stressful tunnel I have been down for so long.

Here’s another thought…How about doing a real live case study…like one of those live challenges where you take somebody who is still green at marketing and make it a live example that the program really works? Kind of like the old “nothing down” real estate challenges that Carleton Sheets or Robert Allen used to do. If so, I would like to volunteer for the spot

Man this sounds great. I tried a work at home website . used link sharing to develop 30k visiters per month . Unique, probably not.
in one year I had a google pr of 5 and made about 15 dollars total by sale of one ezine

Thanks for the great info. My PPC campaigns are sucking the life out of my checkbook and even after tons of tweeking I’m still unhappy with the results.

So far I’ve only used Yahoo Search and MSN because Google scares me to death. My thought was that I’d use their trial coupons and get less expensive PPC than I’d probably get at Google, then once I’d “mastered” those I’d move onto Google.

No such luck! Good news is my list is building and I’ve made a small profit, but nowhere near what I’d originally planned.

I signed up for PPC Classroom Version 1 and learnt an awful lot and I still subscribe to the forum and reckon I could well be coming on board for version2, there is always more to learn and let’s face it what could be better than to learn from an expert

As for the comments about PPC costs, whilst in some respects I agree that certain keyword costs may well be pushed up in price, I am sure that there are a plenty of medium and longtail keywords to be had at more reasonable cost

The thing with PPC is that it is more or less immediate so you can test and have results within hours and days

Building specific content sites whilst good in itself, the down side is that although it is possible to get in the top ten on Google, Yahoo, Msn for generic results it can take weeks and sometimes months or in some cases sometime never, with no guarantee that you will stay top of the pile - It only needs for Google to change their algos and you could find yourself going from page 1 to page 10 overnight

At least with PPC you have the ability to be seen from day one

Me I run PPC whilst I am working on getting generic pages into high listings, then suspend the PPC and leave the campaigns waiting in the wings should the generic listings take a tumble

Good luck to all the people just starting out on PPC I can tell you when you make the first sale the buzz will be tremendous

I liked the questions asked, PPC has always been like mining gold to me and talk of going broke fast is everywhere. I believe there is far more to PPC that proves to be aiming at a moving target. I was encouraged to hear that you are able to develop a system that can be tailored to all niches (or can they?). I am viewing with an open mind listening for those gems of wisdom that I can use to help others.

Very inspirational. Being a Physics Major and recently out of school he was revved up for the study and research necessary. It tells me that the trick with this and most everything is to be a hard working student and know all there is to know about the subject matter. One of the best comments was “If other people are successful then I figured I caould be successful”. That is so true. We are human beings with a brain and if one of our brothers can do it then we can too. I like the guy and I am extremely envious. His story is very motivating. Hearing Amit talk about his struggles in the beginning with trying to make money online gives me some hope. I’ve done very little with PPC, spent a few hundred dollars, and only had a handful of conversions. Scared to do much more without knowing some more information on how to do it right. Great timing with the video and upcoming launch. I am getting closer to create my very first web site and promote affiliate marketing. I watched the video and I understand the PPC but I do not understand the affiliate program information. I intend to watch the video again but not when I am soooo tired that it will not penetrate.

Loved the first video, looking forward to the next ones in the series. Excellent quality, questions and answers are very informative.

PPC provides instant traffic to your website than SEO, but SEO traffic takes little time to kick in (which give tonnes of Free traffic.)

The video really does its job well. Who isn’t interested in learning how to go from debt to $millions?

PPC is scary for so many people - stories of losses and giving up abound. BUT, the stories of great success are inspiring and more people get sucked in and give it a try WITHOUT enough information and knowledge.

You successful guys have a duty to help people make the right choices, avoid the mistakes and risks and move on to making good money. From the video, I’m sure you guys can pull this off.

Still pretty much a newbie, I have not earned a cent on the internet ever since I started surfing 2 years ago.
I tried PPC by blindly following some guru’s instructions and just wasted 1000 US$ over a 30 day period.
However I am convinced that PPC can be extremely profitable. Your excellent video strengthens that conviction. I definitely want to see more about your program.

As a true newbie, I do not have a niche or website yet. I am still trying to learn the language so that I can understand what is being talked about..that being said,I am still anxious to get started but am not sure just how to do it. I am on a fixed income and money is tight so I cannot afford to spend hardly anything….so I continue to try to figure it all out…..the video helped by filling in some of the many missing pieces..thanks

I enjoyed this interview , it showed a real life version of someone who’s made it in the affiliate marketing industry , it’s not promising that you’ll make millions or anything near that overnight but it’s telling you that with the right mindset , discipline , sacrifice , hardwork , and working under a proper mentor you can achieve this!!

I don’t know of three people that are currently making money with PPC or Affiliates. So, I am not sure how I can get your bonus.

Your interview with Ameet should give others the confidence to get involved with IM. That there is still plenty of opportunity to go around.

To many people think “Scarcity” instead of “Abundance”. Therefor they do nothing.

It’s still a players game. But you gotta play if you want to win.

Your interview was VERY INTERESTING, especially since I am part way down the “path” that you describe yourself taking at the beginning. I have been investigating/implementing (trying) internet marketing for several months. I have a computer background, but knew nothing about “the web” especially marketing-wise. Somewhere along the way, I determined that the route I would like to take was affiliate marketing.

Like you, I have set up several web sites over the last couple months with VERY little traffic so far. I had stayed away from PPC mostly because I did not know anything about it. I got a coupon for a $100 Adwords credit about a month ago, so I thought “why not?” Well, so far, I have zippo results with that as well!

I know this will work if I can just get the right direction and instructions. Maybe your help will be what pushes me through the barrier where I can finally make money with this thing!!!!

I’ve been following Amit and Anik for sometime now, and have been an avid reader of Amit’s blog for over a year already. You know, even more than his PPC tips and tricks, I love his lifestyle posts as they keep me motivated.

I expect to gain a lot from PPC classroom. The one thing I need to work on is consistency. I’ve been “trying my hand” at PPC AM for almost a year now but have had only a handful of campaigns and no profit yet. All that is about to change…

$8000 my top month paid to Google for adwords. If this video were available when I paid that…I’d have saved most of that!

Well I just felt really great after watching you both as if I was sitting in a chair chatting with you both. You were both where most of us are now, some great insights so far and not “hype-y jargon” or over-the-top (like my long-tails??),very sincere and I had to giggle as I tried 1/2 doz campaigns in health niche & make money online niche…both affiliate but got stung big time by the Google cost and not many sales so my ROI not good..I gave up a year ago. I look forward to some more refreshing info so hurry up Anik with the other videos please!
